What is BowfishIQ?
BowfishIQ is a bowfishing logbook and trip planning tool. You log the trips you actually take — fish shot, fish seen, species, crew, boat, water level, water temperature, clarity, wind, and duration — and BowfishIQ turns that history into scores, comparisons, and planning views for future trips.
Does BowfishIQ guarantee fish?
No. Nothing in BowfishIQ guarantees fish or a successful trip. It compares tonight's conditions against your own recorded history and shows the evidence and confidence behind that comparison so you can make your own call.
Does BowfishIQ share my fishing spots?
No. Private locations and scouting pins are private by default and are never published with your name attached. Community-level information is aggregated by water body only — never exact spots, private pins, or personal identity.
Can I use BowfishIQ without years of trip data?
Yes. You can log trips from night one, and reference features like the map, species reference, state regulations, badges, and season totals work immediately. Scores that depend on your history stay clearly hedged with lower confidence until you have enough trips recorded.
What happens when environmental data is missing?
Missing or incomplete environmental data lowers confidence and coverage instead of being scored as a neutral match. BowfishIQ shows "Not Available" rather than inventing a value, and tells you which inputs were unavailable.
Can I track crew members and boats separately?
Yes. Trips can carry a crew roster with roles, and fish can be attributed per shooter. Personal stats track your own totals while boat stats cover the whole trip, including species detail.
Can I use BowfishIQ on my phone?
Yes — BowfishIQ is mobile-first and built to be used on the water. It also installs to your home screen as an installable web app, and trip logging keeps working offline with drafts syncing when you regain signal.
Is BowfishIQ available in the app stores?
Not yet. BowfishIQ is currently available as a web app and installable web app (add it to your phone's home screen). Native app store releases have not launched.
